- Account data is generally retained until you request deletion via our support channel, or until we deem the account to be abandoned according to our internal policies.
- Vault Data that has been shared as part of a triggered "switch" may remain accessible via the shared link for up to 180 days after the originating account becomes inactive or is deleted, to allow recipients sufficient time for access, unless deleted earlier as part of a full account deletion request.
7. Your Data Rights
You have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access, Correction, Deletion of Content: You can access, review, amend, and delete your Vault Data and recipient email addresses directly within your account settings.
- Account Deletion: You can request the full deletion of your account and associated personal information by submitting a request through our support channel at https://www.deadmansswitch.me/support. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law, subject to any legal retention obligations.
- Other Rights: Depending on your location (e.g., if you are in the European Economic Area, UK, or California), you may have additional rights such as the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us via the support channel.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in Singapore. If you are accessing the Service from regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from Singapore law, please note that you are transferring your personal information to Singapore, and by providing your information, you consent to that transfer, processing, and storage.
